The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles released personnel files of more than 100 clergy involved in sexual abuse cases. The names and files were released as part of a settlement stemming from a 2007 lawsuit. The clergy files include the names of priests and church hierarchy who dealt with the individual cases. A missing South Los Angeles woman’s family is desperate for her safe return. Michel, 49, was last seen by her loved ones around 5 p.m. Jan. 19 at their home in the 2800 block of Maple Street. Hundreds of parents won a fight to keep a La Mirada elementary school open despite plans to shut it down because of budget cuts. The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District board voted unanimously Tuesday to keep John Foster Dulles Elementary School open for three more years and hire a full-time principal. Almost a year after Oxnard Unified School District removed Stacie Halas from her classroom for having a porn past, a 48-page document obtained by CBS2 and KCAL9 reveals what went on at a closed-door competency hearing. The document revealed Halas not only had money woes of her own, but that she was also helping her parents with their mortgage payments and groceries.
